ChiefOS

One daily briefing across several separate, isolated worlds

ChiefOS is an attention layer for someone running several independent contexts at once — a client, an employer, a venture, a portfolio — where each world keeps its own isolated knowledge base and a private control plane ranks attention across all of them without merging their data. It is in early use, pre-public-launch, with no sign-up or pricing yet.

The problem.

Productivity and second-brain tools assume a person has one job and one trust domain, so a fractional executive or multi-venture founder either loses track of quiet commitments scattered across worlds, or breaches confidentiality by loading client and employer material into the same index.

What we built.

  • Per-world isolated knowledge bases, each with its own dashboard and agent
  • A control-plane gateway that queries each world over HTTP with a per-workspace service token, never opening a direct database connection
  • Row-level security enforcing workspace boundaries, backed by a test suite that fails the build if a boundary leaks
  • Hybrid retrieval combining vector and full-text search in PostgreSQL, scoped per workspace
  • Voice and text capture routed into the correct world without a separate inbox to triage
  • A daily briefing that ranks commitments and deadlines across worlds with sourced reasoning on every line

What it does.

Cross-world morning briefing

What to do first and what is slipping is ranked across every world, with the source cited on each line.

Isolated per-world data

Each world's knowledge base is a separate store; cross-workspace reads are denied by default.

Hybrid search per world

Vector and full-text search are fused in Postgres and scoped to the boundary being queried.

Deadline and commitment tracking

Commitments are pulled from the systems that already hold them rather than re-entered.

Voice or text capture

A note can be captured by voice or text directly into the right world.

Read-only integration

ChiefOS allocates attention across tools; the tools that own the work continue to do the work.
